Casual Friday: The Tunic
When you feel like keeping it more low key in the office, a tunic is a great way to still look put together but not trying too hard. Tricks for wearing tunics in the workplace:
Proportion: Tunics are by nature longer than your average sweater or shirt. To balance proportion wear skinny jeans or more fitted pants or a shorter (but not too short!) skirt. You want to show the shape of your legs with a tunic - or you start to look like Maude from the 70s sitcom.
To keep the correct-proportions game going, wear the tunic with a short jacket.
Fit: Make sure the tunic fits you in the shoulders. If it’s too big clunky, you look sloppy instead of professional. If you are petite, be especially careful about this - you can lose your body entirely! Yikes.
Happy Friday.
